- About Project

About a third of all edible food produced globally goes to waste. This was our talking point.
The documentary showcased stories of unrentless hope, vision driven passion and a hunger for a cleaner-greener eco-system by ordinary women and men. From Korogocho market, to Rhino Park Dairies, Dunga Beach and Obunga Fish market, and the vegetable farms at Awuoth and KIYA youth group, we tell a tale of belief and propserity towards ending food loss and waste.
We took a ride through Nairobi's markets, a dairy farm in the suburbs of Karen and a long drive to the shore of Lake Victoria and the outskirts of Kisumu town to learn, review, interview and cover the transformations within. FAO took time to visit and interact with women and men who were taking up the food loss and waste challenge within the country. These wonderful people gave their success stories as well as their previous challenges and this was the basis of this documentary titled “Preserving The Harvest”.

The documentary runs us through stories of sheer determination, pride and results from Kenyan's who decided to change the way we look at our food from production to consumption.
